About
How it all Began
Picklepalooza started in 2024 as a free pickleball-centric event at Lansing’s Delta Mills Park hosted by the Delta Area Pickleball Association (DAPA). There were over 500 attendees with free, fun events including a Pro Pickleball Exhibition Match, Pickleball Ball Drop, etc. and lots of giveaways including 500 t-shirts, 500 pickleballs, 100 pickleball paddles, and more. We had several community partners such as Delta Kiwanis, Meijer, Great Lakes Christian College, YMCA, Peak Performance, Texas Roadhouse, Smoke and Pig, One North, among others. In addition to having an amazing free event for the community and all the giveaways, we raised over $6,000 for DAPA. Picklepalooza 2025 is growing from our strong foundation built last year!
Why it Matters
More than just a fun event, Picklepalooza is about building community. Proceeds from the event help fund the Delta Area Pickleball Association’s outreach programs– from upgrading the local courts to offering lessons for kids and beginners. Every game played and dollar raised helps strengthen connections and grow the sport of pickleball in our region.
Growing Every Year
Since its humble beginning, PicklePalooza has grown into a must-attend summer tradition that unites families, friends, and pickleball enthusiasts of all ages. From the exciting Pickleball Drop and fun mascot appearances to live music, food contests, and creative challenges, there’s something for everyone. People come not just to play but to celebrate, connect, and make lasting memories together every year.
